All through his acceptance speech, Charles chose to increase awareness for Special Olympics. He shared a get in touch with-to-action concept to the audience, urging those people in attendance and seeing from afar to proceed to combat for equality for individuals with mental disabilities.
“This award makes certain that people today with disabilities receive the assets, day-to-working day specifications, and functions they need to have. We put what they want initial, not what we motivation. We request them and listen pretty thoroughly to what they want, and then we put into action,” mentioned Nyambe.
Charles was offered with a compact-scale Nelson Mandela statue trophy, built by Jean Moisa who also created the unique nine-meter-tall bronze statue of Nelson Mandela which stands in front of the Union Structures in Pretoria, South Africa.
“This award ensures that men and women with disabilities obtain the resources, day-to-day needs, and actions they need to have. We put what they require initially, not what we wish. We ask them and pay attention very very carefully to what they want, and then we implement.”
