Jaime Cruz Juscamaita desires to construct a greater planet for people today with mental disabilities—one play, a single speech, a single competitiveness at a time.

He’s a 28-year-old with Down syndrome, who’s been breaking obstacles in Peru all his everyday living. As a boy or girl, he was just one of the initially college students with mental disabilities involved within the regular college system.

As a teen, he became interested in performing, using on elocution classes and roles in many plays, which includes a creation of “Hamlet.”

As an grownup, he’s continued working in theater at night and as a lodge waiter by day. Jaime has also been tapped as a public speaker for the legal rights and inclusion of men and women with disabilities. He’s been invited to converse in Good Britain, Bolivia, Mexico, Colombia—and the United Nations.

He’s at this time performing in communications for the Peruvian Down Syndrome Society and preparing to reside independently.
